Please explain to my why the "REAL" American Idol, LaToya London, can't even keep a website going but Fantasia Barrino's career is sky-rocketing.

Fantasia is obviously less talented.

Do you know why this is?

Run for the White House

Today, I watched Barak Obama's MTV/MySpace event.

He had a lot of good things to say and then there were "the other statements."

I was, however, concerned about his statement concerning party unification.

When asked if he would consider the Vice Presidency, Obama repeatedly stated, "I'm running for the office of President of the United States; not the Vice-Presidency.

I wish I could have gotten through on the IM for the broadcast. I would have asked this simple question.

"Are you running for the office because you want to make the United States a better place or for personal gain."

I'm sure there are coaches that assist the head coaches and win championships. Everybody gets a championship ring and the prestige of the win.

The brain is the main control center for the body, or so you think. Let your behind "close for business" and see what happens to your brain! :) You will be surprised how quickly leadership authority transfers......

There have been many Vice-Presidents that made enormous contributions to the Presidency AND America at large. Not ot mention, the fact that the Vice-President steps up in the event of a President being unable to serve. There must be a very bright, brilliant, charismatic and able person in this prestigious office.

Can you imagine what would have happened to America if Dan Quayle had to assume the role of President????

For some reason, this statement makes me feel that Obama is an "all or nothing" type of guy. If he can't be the top ranking leader, he won't have anything to do with strengthening the team.

There are fifty other Democratic candidates (excluding the deceased and withdrawn). I'm sure ONE of them would be more willing to strengthen the team, but not Obama.

I decided to let go of my inhibitions and stop playing for the segregated Churches that I have been playing for.

There were no intentions of finding another gig after the last catastrophic Church severance. I got a call to substitute for a bassist at Victory Christian Center (a de-segregated Church). I did it, but let them know that I was not looking to be committed. I was simply a substitute.

WOW is about all I can say. My spiritual experience at VCC has been unmatched. My playing experience and the expansion of my horizons is off the charts.

Finally, I have a wonderful "Church Musician" experience.

After taking a year off, I am excited about my new blog year.

Why we always get that "we got a bass amp" story?

What's the worst you can remember?

Me?
I had a spec sheet that our group manager sent out to promoters/requesters.

This Church (New Orleans) didn't meet our minimum specs but convinced the manager they had "a good bass amp." Their "bass player uses it EVERY week for services."

When I got to the gig, I left my SWR Studio 220 in the van. I brought it just in case but had no cab. I walked into the Church to scope it out. I didn't see a "bass amp" or cab in the place. Thinking it might be stored away, I asked where the bass amp was. Kid, the promoter proudly walked me over to a small "Realistic" home stereo speaker with two wires hanging out of the back!

Now, YOU top THAT!!
